why I’m here…

~ space holder ~ sister ~ doula ~ teacher ~ lover

~ protector ~ dancer ~ dreamer ~ buddhist

~ women’s community founder ~

I’m a holistic health practitioner;

a Birth Doula and educator, and my offerings include Yoga, Meditation, and Sound Therapy

Roots:

I grew up in a matriarchal family in Devon,

surrounded by the ocean and the countryside, and spent most of my childhood immersed in raw, beautiful nature

When I wasn’t swimming in the sea, or belly rolling down rugged hillsides, I was dancing.

Dance was my first love;

I toddled into a friend’s baby ballet class when I was 18 months old, and went on to train as a classical dancer and performance artist for almost two decades.

When I left home at 18, my relationship with my body and the Earth changed. I had stopped going to dance classes and I was living in a big city. It was all new and exciting, but

deep down I felt entirely lost and disconnected; the conversation between my body and mind was fading away

I had a career in fashion for 14 years. This somewhat met my need for creativity and expression, but a sense of fulfilment was deeply lacking; I knew there was something much closer to my heart that I wasn’t honouring. So I began searching…

For years I was longing for the sense of freedom I had experienced when I was dancing and singing every day. Then I started practicing yoga and meditation, and discovered sound baths. I loved how alive this made me begin to feel.

I first encountered Buddhism in 2017, and realised that I hadn’t been living in alignment with my truest values. I quit my fashion career and began gathering up my fragments.

I took time out to travel to India and trained there as a yoga teacher and sound therapist. I also explored the jungle, hiked around the Himalayas, and went on a solo Buddhist pilgrimage. This journey changed everything…

I realised that embodiment and sound are the doorway to my inner knowing. I finally felt reconnected with my own human nature and the wild:

My body: strong and spacious

Energy: flowing

Voice: confident

Mind: steady and curious

Nervous system: calm

Grounded in my heart, and in touch with my values

I felt more like myself than I had done in decades

My body was once more my guide, and I was listening to her

I needed to live near the ocean again. To breathe in fresh salty air, watch the sun rise and fall in expansive skies, and witness the cyclical pull of the moon on the tides. I moved to Margate, and this unlocked more magic…

I opened a women’s community in my home. We cook, clean, and share support for one another; living by the values of kindness, respect, and reciprocity.

SKY:

I was asked to cover some of my teacher’s yoga classes in London. Soon after that, I was invited to offer yoga and sound on retreats. I also started hosting circles and holding 1:1 sessions focused on empowering the feminine

In 2023, I opened earth Studio in my home; a wellness space for yoga classes, sound baths and healing treatments.

I created R.E.S.T. (Restorative Embodied Sound Therapy)

I trained to be a birth doula and antenatal educator, and now I combine my deep trust and belief in body wisdom with the most magical thing on earth;

offering guidance through

body, breath, mind and sound

to those on their birthing journeys

This is me; how I offer my heart…

❁ preparing for birth?

❁ need to calm your nervous system?

I would love to walk with you

My Approach

I have offered Yoga, Meditation and Sound Healing in various wellness spaces across the UK. Some of the locations where I’ve held space include The London Buddhist Centre, The Turner Contemporary art gallery, and ‘earth Studio’ in my home in Margate. I have also facilitated events in retreat and festival settings.

I offer group, community and 1:1 sessions, each designed to support relaxation, mindfulness, and integration. I am a Holistic Birth Doula, and provide bespoke pregnancy, birth and postpartum empowerment for one to one clients and groups in the community.

The spaces I hold are curated to restore and empower through self inquiry.

I take a trauma informed approach to connecting the body, mind and breath, and regulating the nervous system. I work intuitively, responding to the unique combination of energies present in each session. I weave somatic movement, meditation and imagination through my offerings to inspire the cultivation of inner values.

“The dance is not where we lose ourselves. But where we find ourselves.”

~Gabrielle Roth

I have learned that physical expression allows for an immersive connection to self, other, and beyond.

We have an opportunity to be in deeper alignment with our experience by engaging with our physical body,

and my aim is to facilitate the journey towards inner harmony and liberation through embodiment. The natural world is essential in my inspiration, and I invite a deepening of the relationship between our senses and the elements in my practices.

I believe that movement brings us into connection with the heart; our inner wisdom.

I see life as a dance. From the moment of conception, right through to the portal of death. For every second in between these mysterious thresholds, we are ~ in some way ~ dancing. There’s the instinctual moon dance between mother and baby in the womb, the pas de deux between lovers or friends. Traditional folk dances connect people in communities, and there are countless devotional dances of faith. We might experience the slow dance of suffering, the ecstatic escapism of the rave, or the wild, tribal dance which expresses our Heart~wish... Even the ocean dances in tune with the sky, and the flowers with the sun. Whatever we are going through, our physical bodies are dancing somehow in response. This dance, if given attention and care, can be channelled as a moving meditation; a thing of beauty and connection to self and world.
